Jesselle= love

I've started interning with Jesselle PR which is such an awesome workplace, the people are so nice and I can't imagine anything more glamourous and amazing to do for a job.. it's also something that I love and have a real passion for which is, you know.. a bonus! :) 

Last Tuesday (the 7th of June) I had my first day, and although I was sitting on a laptop most of the time, researching.. I was researching fashion brands & photo shoot ideas.. I mean, come on! should that even count? I love this place! 

Next Tuesday we are doing a photoshoot for Ruby Olive, an accessories brand which is including lots of colour, puddles, icecream and balloons, just overall cuteness... should be heaps of fun :) Stay tuned...

 I think I was born in the wrong decade. 

I'm in love with the fashion, the photographs and beauty of the 1930s & 40s.

Thats why I will always fall in love with movies and the vintage clothing from those years (I also have a sliight love of guys in suits...)

Have you ever asked yourself what the iconic ‘look’ of today is? What we’ll be wearing in 30 years when we are attending dress up parties, the theme, ’20 hundreds?’ Fashion trends used to last a decade, now they merely last a season and you’re left with thinking that if you don’t get every issue of Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar, you will be left behind with last month’s trend, that is till it rolls back around in 10 years or so.  Fashion trends from previous decades have been pulled back into stores, being the ‘must-have’ items of now. The ‘cloche’ and ‘fedora’ hats, iconic from the 1920s era, are constantly making an appearance in stores and on the runway. Similarly, bright colours and prints, a new trend in the 1970s, have also made a comeback. One-piece swimsuits have also re-appeared, being snatched off shelves as quickly as the iPad 2.

The Fashion industry has certainly been shaken up with the likes of Lady Gaga and her personal style, a kind of rebellion against the norms of accepted fashion, to change the fashion world forever. This type of ‘out there fashion’ has not been successfully recognised since the likes of Madonna and her iconic cone bra in the 1980s.

This is a long drive with nothing to think about..

Unlike Modest Mouse's 1996 album of the same name, I used to (I say used to because I don't really drive anymore) have endless thoughts running through my head when driving and the only way to get them out- well, so I at first thought, was to put on my Ipod and sing at the top of my lungs, dancing when possible- much to the amusement of fellow highway users..  But music contains memories, good & bad, tear wrenching, funny and just god damn freaky and I can't listen to a song without it taking me back to a familiar place... It's much like certain perfumes. The memories are kept deep inside you, not forgotten, but just misplaced, until a particular scent forces them back out, taking you back to that day, that moment and it'll feel like it's all happening again.. 

We all have something like this.. I'm not saying particular scents mostly bring up heartache-filled memories, but some, unfortunately, do.. That's why believe that we can't truly love until we've been hurt.. but that's the magic of music, It works as a medicine for healing and self cleansing.

What happened to the days when people showed their true feelings for one another via letter? Men like Romeo , Heathcliff & Mr Darcy expressing their undying love to their women.. If it happened today it would make my heart melt.. Yes it was a bit cheesy, but sometimes I like cheesy.. ;) 


I didn't fall in love until I was 20. I was beginning to think I never would which scared me half to death because really, what is living if you never truly feel the pain, happiness & fulfillment that only love can give you..? Sure I'd experienced different types, like everyone, in my family, my friends, my pets & music, but nothing like this. He's the only person in the world that could ever truly break my heart and put it back together again..
